Interested in Karaoke at Your Bar?
Hiring the right karaoke company is absolutely necessary if you want the show to be successful. How do you know when you’ve hired the wrong company? It’s simple: People don’t show up, or those that do just drink pop and water. Customers and bartenders complain. It might be all depressing – all the time.
How do you know how to judge who is
the right karaoke company? These are the questions that you need to ask:
How many songs does
the karaoke company have? We have 3 karaoke libraries. The first two are identical and offer 15,000+ songs. Our third library contains over 12,000 songs. Also, we are equipped to download songs on the spot, so if a singer cannot find the song they want, we will get it. We call it "Presto-Requesto"! (Why this is important: Many singers only know a few songs. If your karaoke host doesn't have it, they will find one who does. The variety also coaxes the singers to stay longer and try songs that other karaoke companies do not offer.)
How modern are the
songs? We subscribe to Chartbuster’s
Karaoke Hot Hits Monthly. We have the newest songs available before they hit
the radio. This means our shows are always fresh because the music selection is
updated monthly. (Why this is important: The most lucrative karaoke singers are usually under the age of 35. They bring friends to see them sing. These die-hards are always searching for their next song. They usually want to try the songs that they hear on the radio. Not only do we offer the newest songs, but we encourage them to try and sing the new stuff because the crowd usually wants to hear something other than the karaoke standards that they've heard a million times).
What is the quality
of the songs? There are many karaoke
music manufacturers out there. Some sell inferior karaoke music at discount
prices. The majority of our music is from the most respected manufacturers –
Sound Choice and Chartbusters. (Why this is important: The quality of the music [how closely it matches the original] is very important to the singer. They know the difference!)
What kind of music
system do you run? We have four
systems total, including a Bose® sound system. Having multiple systems that
vary in size and capabilities allow us to pick the right system for your venue.
We also are proud to offer Audix OM-5 microphones – the microphones we feel are
the best available for karaoke. (Why this is important: Singers appreciate sound quality, and for good reason. They are there to perform and when the sound is not what it should be, they will complain and find somewhere else that offers good sound.)
How well trained is
the host? Most of our shows are
hosted by the owner – Troy R. Vanderstelt. When we do use fill-in hosts, they
are put through a vigorous training program in which they are taught every
facet of running a karaoke show. No karaoke host will run a show until they
have successfully completed the training and evaluation. And, we have multiple
hosts to choose from or will train your host. (Why this is important: The karaoke host is the "Karaoke Boss". They are the ones who can very well make or break your karaoke night. They must be trained to use the equipment to dial in the music and the singer. They must be able to engage the audience - not only from behind the karaoke system, but by working the crowd and interacting personally with customers. They must be fair and not do any favors because singers resent an unfair karaoke rotation. Finally, they must be able to sing, and know when to sing. Our policy is that our hosts will not sing when more than five singers are present. However, early in the night when there aren't enough singers, they must be able to break the ice to coax singers to get up and sing. And, they better be able to sing well because you don't want your non-karaoke customers to get up and leave because they are turned off by what they are hearing).
Can you guarantee
that I will make money? YES! Our
shows come with a 2 week trial period in which you pay us what you feel we are
worth.
Is your karaoke music
legal? Yes. We have only authentic
karaoke music that is licensed by the manufacturer. Our libraries are available for inspection by bar owners. (Why this is important: Bar owners that hire a company that uses illegal music can be subject to
criminal and civil penalties for copyright infringement and for gaining an
unfair business advantage. NATIONWIDE SWEEPS ARE GOING ON RIGHT NOW! Don't take a chance on facing legal action from the karaoke manufacturers!)
How much do you
charge? Our karaoke shows cost $150
for up to 4.5 hours – which is the going rate, but an extra half hour. We offer discounts for "off-nights" like Mondays & Tuesdays. Also, as mentioned above, we offer "Trial Discounts" for the first 2 weeks of new shows.
Other companies out there
charge less, but offer less as well. Other companies charge more, but you don’t
have to pay more. We provide everything that every other karaoke company offers and more. Don't take a chance on hiring the wrong company! Call us to see what we can offer you!
